Terms of Service

The short version

decidewhere.to helps groups figure out where to travel. It's a planning tool, not a travel agency. We don't book flights, we don't guarantee prices, and we're not responsible if your group still can't agree on a destination. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

decidewhere.to is operated by Marmalard LLC ("we," "us," "our"). These terms are a legal agreement between you and Marmalard LLC.

What the service does

You enter travel preferences (airports, dates, group size, vibe preferences) and we generate ranked destination recommendations using a scoring algorithm and AI. You can share results with your group, vote on destinations, and optionally purchase AI-generated itineraries.

No guarantees on travel information

This is important, so we're being direct:

• Flight prices shown are estimates based on historical ranges. Actual prices will vary. Always check with the airline or a booking site before purchasing.
• Destination availability (direct flights, routes) is based on curated data that may not reflect real-time schedule changes.
• AI-generated content (destination recommendations, itineraries) is produced by Anthropic's Claude AI. It can be wrong. Restaurant recommendations may be closed. "Hidden gem" bars may not exist. Always verify before you book anything.
• Weather data is based on historical averages. We cannot control the weather. We wish we could.

Paid itineraries

AI-generated itineraries are available for purchase. When you buy one:

• Payment is processed securely by Stripe.
• The itinerary is generated on demand and delivered immediately.
• Due to the nature of AI-generated content, we offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy with your itinerary, email us and we'll make it right.
• One free regeneration (with feedback) is included per purchase.

Share links and group data

Trips are shared via unique links. Anyone with the link can view trip results and vote. This is by design — it's meant to be shared in group chats. Keep in mind:

• Share links are not password-protected. Don't share a trip link publicly unless you want anyone to see (and vote on) your trip.
• We're not responsible for votes submitted by people you didn't intend to share with.
• Vote data (names, airport selections) is visible to everyone with the link.

Acceptable use

Don't use decidewhere.to to:

• Abuse the API or overwhelm our servers
• Submit offensive or illegal content through trip names or feedback
• Scrape destination data or scoring algorithms
• Impersonate other people in votes

We reserve the right to remove trips or block access for misuse.

Intellectual property

The decidewhere.to name, logo, scoring algorithm, and site design are owned by Marmalard LLC. AI-generated itineraries you purchase are yours to use for personal trip planning. Don't resell them or publish them as your own content.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marmalard LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of decidewhere.to. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us (if anything).

In plain English: if you plan a trip using our tool and something goes wrong with the actual trip, that's between you and the airline / hotel / weather. We help you decide where to go. What happens when you get there is on you.

Disclaimer of warranties

decidewhere.to is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.
